The Heart of the Composition
At the center of the fragrance lies the Centifolia rose from Grasse, the emblematic flower of the La Petite Robe Noire line. Here, perfumer Delphine Jelk reinterprets it with deeper radiance and emotion. The rose reveals its most expressive character, surrounded by a generous bouquet that feels both luminous and textured.
A delicious praline accord lends a subtle gourmand shimmer, evoking the sweetness of Parisian confections. Beneath this heart, patchouli, vanilla, and tonka bean form a velvety base, accentuating the rose’s natural luminosity while adding dark, enveloping depth.
As Delphine Jelk describes: “The rose is the main character of the composition - its heart, its soul.”

A Collaboration with Elsa Muse
For the launch of La Petite Robe Noire Parfum, Guerlain collaborated with creative artist Elsa Muse on a new campaign brought to life entirely through stop-motion animation. The film presents a nocturnal Paris - vibrant, cinematic, and charged with electric light - where the little black dress becomes a living muse, surrounded by a chorus of animated roses.
Each frame was captured in sequence, creating an illusion of movement that celebrates craftsmanship and imagination. The setting, a Parisian bistro named “Le Parfum,” becomes a stage for transformation - a place where roses, light, and rhythm merge in a celebration of joy and freedom.
The Bottle: Light and Shadow in Glass
The iconic inverted heart bottle, a hallmark of Guerlain since 1912, returns with a new design. For this edition, it glows in vivid neon pink, contrasted by deep black lacquer on its shoulders - a visual metaphor for the contrast within the scent itself. The gradient effect evokes the pulse of Parisian nightlife: brightness meeting darkness, emotion meeting elegance.
The Legacy of La Petite Robe Noire
Since its debut in 2012, La Petite Robe Noire has stood as a symbol of playful sophistication. Its blend of black cherry, rose, and smoky tea created a modern classic that defined Guerlain’s contemporary femininity. Over the years, the collection has expanded - from Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum Intense to Velvet and Plissée editions - each revealing new interpretations of the original dress in scent form.
The new Parfum concentration extends this story with a heightened sense of emotion and craftsmanship, magnifying the rose while keeping the mischievous charm that made the line a global icon.
A Commitment to Sustainability
La Petite Robe Noire Parfum also reflects Guerlain’s environmental commitment. The fragrance is composed using beetroot-derived alcohol from responsible French agriculture. The emblematic heart-shaped bottle now integrates at least 15% recycled materials, continuing the brand’s pursuit of sustainable luxury without compromising beauty or quality.
The Essence of La Petite Robe Noire Parfum
With La Petite Robe Noire Parfum, Guerlain offers a new vision of its iconic scent - one that radiates the essence of Paris by night. The Centifolia rose shines as the fragrance’s emotional center, wrapped in gourmand warmth and illuminated by modern elegance. It captures both heritage and innovation, tradition and reinvention, through a composition that feels timeless and immediate.
This 2025 release celebrates the allure of femininity in motion - confident, radiant, and utterly alive beneath the Parisian neon lights.
