Akro Heat by Olivier Cresp Centers Red Chili in a Woody Eau de Parfum

Akro Heat turns red chili into the central idea of a Woody Eau de Parfum by Olivier Cresp. Coriander, lemon, cardamom, ginger, juniper, cedarwood, Ambrox, and musk shape the fragrance from aromatic heat to a dry woody base.

Olivier Cresp built Akro Heat around the brief interval between the first juicy bite of a red chili and the dry burn that follows. Citrus and aromatic spices describe the rising sensation before cedarwood, Ambrox, and musk establish the Woody base.

Akro presented Heat during Pitti Fragranze 24 in Florence in September 2026. The Eau de Parfum enters the collection under the pairing Pepper > Heat, linking the featured note with the physical response that shaped Cresp's brief.

Akro Heat Eau de Parfum by Olivier Cresp - red chili, citrus, aromatic spices, cedarwood, Ambrox and musk
Akro Heat Eau de Parfum by perfumer Olivier Cresp explores the character of red chili through citrus, coriander, cardamom, ginger, juniper, cedarwood, Ambrox and musk.

The second before the burn

Cresp based Heat on a specific physical sequence. A fresh chili has a slightly juicy first contact, followed quickly by a drier sensation that continues to rise. That timing became the plan for the fragrance.

Lemon gives the first stage a clear citrus edge. Coriander seed introduces aromatic spice beside the red chili note. The chili is present from the top of the pyramid, so the subject appears immediately and remains connected to every later section.

“I wanted to recreate the moment you bite into a chili.”

How Cresp builds the sensation of heat

Ginger carries the brightness of lemon into the middle of the perfume. Cardamom supplies a warmer spice tone, and juniper introduces aromatic dryness. The combination reads as aromatic spice with a dry edge.

Cresp's own description identifies citrus and ginger as the sources of lift. He assigns the deeper warmth to cardamom, coriander, and red chili, with cedar and Ambrox underneath. Juniper sits beside ginger and cardamom in the middle, with musk added to the base.

Dry woods remain after the spice

Cedarwood continues the dry quality described in Cresp's brief. Ambrox contributes an ambered woody effect and diffusion. Musk smooths the base and corresponds with the musky and powdery facets listed in the accord profile.

Citrus and aromatic tones lead the accord profile, followed by fresh spice, musk, woods, and amber. Akro's Woody designation reflects the cedarwood, Ambrox, and musk structure that remains beneath the brighter materials.

Pepper > Heat

Akro uses the label Pepper > Heat for the fragrance. Pepper identifies the source of the sensation, and Heat names the bodily response behind the composition. The format places the release within Akro's catalogue of perfumes based on cravings and recurring habits.

Heat uses red chili as a defined perfume note, supported by citrus, aromatic spice, dry woods, Ambrox, and musk. The name records the sensation that Olivier Cresp set out to compose.

Florence debut

Pitti Fragranze 24 took place at Stazione Leopolda in Florence from September 11 through September 13, 2026. Akro presented Heat during the event. The fragrance is available as a 10 ml, 30 ml, or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
